Abdullah MohamedSenior Software Engineer

Services

Custom software, from a first MVP to production.

Seven ways to work with me. Each page says who it's for, what you get, what it costs, and the work that proves it. Start from the one closest to where you are — most projects are a mix, and we shape it on the first call.

Not sure which one fits?

Describe what you want to build the way you'd explain it to a customer. I'll tell you which of these it is, roughly what it takes, and whether I'm the right person for it.

How a project runs

  1. Intro call

A free call. You describe the product and what's blocking you; I tell you honestly whether and how I can help.

  2. Written proposal

Scope, price, timeline and payment phases — all in writing before any code is written. You approve it, then we start.

  3. Milestone delivery

You get working, testable software at every milestone, not a status update.

  4. Handoff

Deployment, documentation and a codebase the next engineer can maintain. The code is yours.

Every price is a starting point and negotiable based on your scope and requirements. We start with a free call, then I send a written proposal with the final price, the timeline, and the payment phases.

Working with me

How does pricing work?

Every service has a starting price, and every price is negotiable based on your scope and requirements. We start with a free call, then I send a written proposal with the final price, the timeline, and the payment phases. You approve it before any work begins.

Do you charge hourly or per project?

Per project. You get a fixed price, a timeline, and payment phases in writing, so there is no running meter and no surprise invoice. The only exception is ongoing maintenance after handoff, which we agree separately.

Do you work with startups and MVPs?

Yes — it has its own page, MVP development. One engineer owns the frontend, backend, database and deployment, with a written scope and milestone delivery so you see working software early. Jaweb and Xera Lab were built that way, from zero.

Do you work remotely with clients outside Egypt?

Yes — remote is how I work. I'm in Cairo (GMT+2/+3): one to two hours from Europe, the same workday as the Gulf, and a solid morning overlap with the US East Coast. My clients so far have been in Germany, the US, Qatar, and Kuwait.

How do we communicate during a project?

A shared channel (Slack or WhatsApp), a demo of what shipped every week, and a written summary at every milestone. You never have to ask what the status is.

Who owns the code?

You do. Everything is delivered in your repositories with documentation and deployment access. Handoff quality is part of the service — no lock-in.

Can you join our team on a contract?

Yes, when there is an outcome to own — a module, a migration, a performance target — rather than an open-ended seat. I've worked inside remote product teams before, at DIB GmbH in Germany and RevealSite in the US. For a permanent senior role, start with the CV.

Do you work in English or Arabic?

Both, fluently — including building fully bilingual, RTL-ready products. Faheem, Talia, and ICCD Hub are Arabic-first or bilingual, and so is this site.

What are you not a fit for?

Native iOS or Android in Swift/Kotlin, WordPress and other CMS theme work, Laravel/PHP backends, data science and ML model training, and pure design engagements. I'll say so on the call rather than learn it on your budget — and where I know someone who does that work well, I'll point you at them.

What is the fastest way to reach you?

Send a short brief from the Start a project page, book a call, or email hi@abdullahmohamed.dev. I reply within 24 hours on working days.
